This is the question that must be answered by your artwork and the location it will be displayed.
Wood frames that are natural or composite wood products. They can be stained, painted or covered with a overlay material.
Wood frames can be carved, design embedded or attached to the surface of the frame.
Gold, Silver or other metalic finishes are used to cover the frame moulding
These wooden frames have been enhanced by adding inlays, painted accents and other designs to help them complement the artwork.
The frame is important and must complement the artwork, without trying to becoming the star of the show, — the ARTWORK is always the STAR.
But equally the other team members in the framing package are just as important. They may be the frame liner or mat that add color and texture to the artwork.
